i am using 30870 its rock solid with my settings. Until builds prior then 30300 i had some problems but now it works flawless for days. its working with kong builds, and i flashed it several times. I am open to trying any suggestions anyone has. I can't really find a number on mine that tells which revision it is unless it is this one on the sticker on the bottom under made in Vietnam: I wonder if we are dealing with a new revision to the model. I also tried the ones on the site as well with the same results. I am running into the same issue (although I am able to downgrade to at least one older version of the Netgear firmware without a problem.) I have tried the r8500 chk files going back several months and they all give the error. I can provide information if you can tell me what to look for and how to get it to you. Any suggestions on how to get DD-WRT on this? I'm assuming this means that this is a new variant build of the R8500. But, interestingly, it would not downgrade to an earlier firmware for the R8500. The router otherwise appears to work, and it was able to upgrade to the most recent Netgear firmware. chk file to start the move of the R8500 to DD-WRT, but I got the error message from the Netgear firmware that the firmware is not compatible with the router.
